Default Looks like LS7 Shortblocks are getting cheaper

Look what I found while dreaming on Ebay today. To bad I don't have the cash for one of these yet. Oh well, maybe by the end of the year.

I would trust that first one about as far as I could throw it.

Why do you say that? Seems like a good piece to me. It looks like they have all of the same parts in them.

The value is in the assembly. If you price out the components, then subtract that from the price, there is not much left over...

How much is left over when you do the calc's? What should the cost of one of these short blocks be for a good one?

Should be around $4300 just in parts, if not more.

If it is not that much in parts, then some of the parts are substandard.
Personally I would feel uncomfortable for less than $5500-$6k.

Actually if you look at the second setup, the parts listed are more and they are not assembled. They are Eagle rods and a Eagle crank. Nothing wrong with Eagle, but they are considered the least expensive "good" parts" JMHO
