Default LQ4 + Z31 Turbos

I'm currently dropping a Dry-Sumped LQ4 (Gen. III 6.0L) into my Z32. I'd like to twin turbo it before it hits the streets. I got to thinking that I need a cheap turbo to use to design and fab up the manifolds and such. I figured 1/2 of a 6.0L is 3.0L and as we all know the Z31 was a 3.0L single turbo.

My question is: could I use two of these Z31 turbos on my LQ4 for a while (year or so) until I get my new motor and better turbos? Would it work?

Well, if you're serious about it, I'd suggest you do some homework.

Look into what the compressor maps for that turbo looks like at the boost levels you're considering, and how those maps compares to the engines' needs (at various boost and rpm levels).

i wouldnt do it. the stock Z31 t3, and t25 (86-88) is out of its efficiency range with the v6 already. Try to find some cheap 50-trim garretts on e-bay. t3 exhaust flange. that will make it pretty compact and easy to get parts for.
