If you've got pics or tips of how you did it adn what it entailed i'd like to hear it. after discussions with a few people I'm thinking about definitely putting 29.5's on the new bogarts for my attempt at running in the high 8's.... My fenders have already been rolled for my 28x10.5W's on my draglites now.... Is a ton more trimming required or is it mostly internal inside the wheelwell with a BFH????
I already have madman offset lca's and i removed my rubber spacers inside the wheelwell so those won't be hitting. I'm going to be running 15x10 bogart d10's with 7.5" of backspace... rearend is not narrowed and car is not mini-tubbed.....

I did exactly what you want to do. You will probably need to strech your fenders more. Depends on how much they were previously streched. I would suggest at least 1.25" of clearance at the front and rear lower portions of the wheel well.
You will need to remove the bump stops, bump stop brackets, and grind all bump stop material off. Grind off the rippled section of the frame. At that point mount the tire and make some marks on the inner wheel well at the closest points to the tire and beat them in with a BFH. I used a hand mallot. Take it to the track, check for rubbing areas and if you have them use the BFH again.
I didn't need the offset LCA's but you will ready for when you decide to mini tub and tuck those baby's in :D :drive:
BTW the pics in my sig are with Weld 7.5" BS and Goodyear 30" X 10.5" slicks. They are dang near the same size as the MT 29.5" X 10.5" Slick. I used them both.
I have now mini tubbed. :drive:

Wow, those are some tall tires. Makes my 28s look tiny.

I am in the middle of clearancing my setup.
I am running a 15X10 Weld Pro Star XP with 5.5 BS and the .5 of BS is killing me. And I have a small 275 tire. My 12 bolt is shortened 2.5 inches on each side.
I could use a spacer but I really like the way the tires tuck in so I am gonna cut some more metal out so it won't cut the tire during suspension travel.
If your planning on doing this job yourself be prepared, its not a quick or easy job.
