Default anyone want to help me???

Ok so after 10 months of dealing with my horrible warrnty they finally replaced my engine. now i have a brand new motor and im wondering the correct way to beak it in.

I am babying the **** out of the motor.
How many miles should i put on it before i can actually drive the car?
Also should i change the oil at 500mi.?

im worried about the new motor beacuse it has a major flat spot at 2500-2600 rpm. its horribly bad. Now on the old motor the rings were so bad that the blow by was rediclious. I was so bad that my throttle body was being pumped full of oil. This was possible beacuse oil was being pushed through the breather tube on my passenger side valve cover. My intake was saturated with oil. I dont know how well the dealership cleaned my intake. The blow by also soaked my maf. My whole intakde system was covered in oil. My air cleaner even had oil on it. Is it possible that all that oil could have ruined my maf. i think the flat spot could be a result of many things, my maf, bad o2 sensors (i highly doubt the dealer changed them), bad coil packs, my fule filter being clogged (have no idea about the last time it was changed).

i really appreciate anyone who takes the time to read about my problem, and their usefull information.

P.S. If any of you want to know the whole story on how shitty GM takes care of their paying customers i would be happy to let u know in full detail!!!

Oil in the intake is common which is why a lot of people run catch cans. I've never seen oil go as far as the air cleaner though. If you did get oil that far I would imagine that they would have cleaned it up during the rebuild.

If you're babying the motor, how do you know it has a flat spot? I would wait until it's broken in and then see how it feels. I think you might be worrying too much.

Well.....

This is really hard to diagnose and that is why no one has really replied. I have had problems with Chrysler and GM on warranty and other companies. Frankly, warranty is a joke if the person doing the work is not worried about it.

I would recommend taking it to another dealership, sometimes its better, somtimes its worse. They all should honor warranty work even if you didn't buy the car from them. You should take it back quickly if you are still having trouble, the longer you wait the more they will tell you it is something different. In your case it really does not matter what it is if its still under warranty. Take it back!!

Don't let them screw you around.

If you think you have a problem bring it back, if for no other reason just to document it. Other than that treat it like a new car, put some miles on it and change the oil after a few hundred.
