Default looking for 450-475rwhp

Ok so here's the deal...I just bought an 01 SS...which I love, btw. But, and there is always a but...I want 450-475rwhp. At a minimal loss of fuel efficiency. And without any drivable loss, as I already have a 71 vette that spends its days sitting...unless I'm going to the track. This car will be driven every day...equipped currently(installed before I bought) are hooker headers...1 3/4-3", exhaust to match.(Y-pipe)...I kinda would have prolly gone true dual...but meh its on there already....K&N cold air kit...and that is pretty much it...I am thinking FAST 90 tb and manifold to match is next, but as is everyone who is working on their first LS1 it seems, I am not sure how much duration and lift I should be looking at and if I should go with a complete head/cam swap or just cam-valve springs etc. Can I easily make the power I want with the stock heads? I just have questions...few answers... help me out please?

youll definitley need a good set of heads i love the AFRS but youll def need some heads to make that power and a decently big cam. You can go FI if you want but if you want heads and cam preferred get some true duals heads and cam and youll be good. A fast 90 with a 90mm tb will definitley be a great upgrade for the H/C.

Put a supercharger on it... Vortech or Procharger.

Your not going to get 450-475whp from a cam only car without some kind of power adder. I would go with a medium size cam with full bolt-ons, and then a 100 shot of the juice. This will easily put you around 475+whp on spray, and the nitrous is there at the flick of a switch when you need the extra power.

He said he didn't want to lose a lot of fuel economy and no drivability. Forced induction can do this. Head/cam has to be pretty agressive to make that power.

I said cam and bolt-ons only

He said he wants to remain with stock heads. And with a combo like kryckter has, your gas milage is not going to be all the great.

Im telling you, the best way to achieve this goal IMO, and still retain stock like driving manners is going to be a medium size cam w/ full bolt-ons, and a 100 shot.

For that kinda power, your going to have to sacrifice some gas mileage no matter what route you take.

What kind is a medium size cam?

What is in the full bolt ons?

just go for a 150 shot that will get you there when you need that much power and when cruising its normal easy and laid back.

FI is the only way you're getting there within your parameters of MPG, driveability. It will take a pretty stout H/C combo to get you there, unless you're willing to spray.

Say you did, heads, cam (everything that goes along with this, springs, etc), FAST 90/90 intake and an aftermarket computer set up.

Could that pull the RWHP up near 450-475HP?

OK I should have phrased that question differently. What would one expect to get with the above listed parts?
