30rwhp with a CAI on an 05-07 stang?? i know nothing about mustangs, i dont know what they are capable and what they gain from certain mods. but i almost laughed out loud at a car show tonight when this kid told me hes going to gain 30rwhp from a CAI.... im sorry but that doesnt even seem remotly believeable.
is he bsing? or can stangs get such a gain from such a small mod.. where ls1s only get like 5hp or so..

could that be with a tune also? i have an 07 z06, stock was 443 rwhp, then after CAI and tune, put out 475 rwhp. there's NO way that much difference was all due to the CAI. just a thought..

Just like the other day when my buddy was at discount tire, the tech there was arguing that his bolt on ONLY 02 mustang GT ran 11.00s all motor. Needless to say my buddy called BS on him but the guy kept arguing. I guess some people just dont get it.

on the new stangs im sure most of yall know that you have to get a tune whenever you change the intake and what not. my buddy definitely gained some decent power in his 06 stang after intake, tune, and no cats. i dont have any hard numbers but i wouldn't be surprised if it was around 25

sounds like some mixed statements in here. but no it wasnt a blue supercharged stang.
it was some young yuppie who is around 17 and thinks his GT is made by god himself. lol little did he know the only engine god ever made was the almighty ls1..

yes it is possible thats a high side number, but possible. when i worked at texas motorsports it was a very common bolt on for the 05+ guys and most saw around 20-25rwhp. my brothers 07 vone stock put down 283rwhp, yes it is a freak. but with cold air/tuner and axle back it made 314rwhp and 318rwhp when the throttle body was put on. the 3v motor responds VERY well to bolt ons.

Ok, buddy of mines' friend has an '07 GT with a Saleen Supercharger on it. 7 psi, CAI, tune, Flows, blah blah blah. Said he should make 500hp with this. possible? Thats like bolting on 200 hp. He ran a mid 12 at 118.
Do these new stangs really make this much HP with that supercharger?

Yup.
A real cold air system with a tune can net upwards of 20-30 RWHP. The CAI kits that you CAN install without a tune won't gain as much power, but I honestly wouldn't waste my time with one.
