Chevrolet Camaro 1967-2002 - 5.3 l into ls1 camaro questions

i was wondering if a 5.3l truck motor would bolt up with a camaro drivetrain and computer or if i was gonna have problems with the trans and ecu

Actually this would make a great swap into a 94 thru 97 Camaro . Just a drop in situation & the wreckin yards are full of these truck engines . And if there were any wireing issues, which I don't believe there is, FAST can solve that problem pretty quick. Also PAINLESS WIREING also has the fix. Lots of people still like the look of the LT1 Camaros front end, me included.

The longblock will fit no prob. The truck intake it too tall, you would have to use a car intake. The truck accessories cannot be used with a car intake without modification, you will have to modify the accessories or just run Fcar accessories. I believe the truck coil packs had different connectors as well.

Would be a badass swap for a v6 car.

one good thing about the 5.3 is its an iron block w/o sleeves in the bores. also more reliable at higher hp levels
