Default idling 03 yukon

my 03 yukon when first cranking, and at different times will idle up and down,i took to shop and it has no codes , and they ran supposedly a vaccum test.everything with nothing wrong.what to do????????????????????

Are you sure it' s not the AC compressor kicking on? All engines idle up and down to a certain degree, what range does it vary in? Which engine? You' d probably get a better responce from Newbie Tech, or the GM section of the Performance Trucks forum, link up there ^^^^

my dads suburban with the 8.1L does the same thing..idles up to like 900 and back down to like 200 rpm and like almost dies but then runs ok later on...

My car idles like that from time to time. It also sticks at like 1,000RPM, after a burnout at the track sometimes. I' ve never figured out a cause, or had a problem because of it.

Check the spark plugs and wires. My z28 did that after a new spark plug and wire install. The plugs had backed themselves out a little and the wires were not on as tight as they should have been and it caused the same issue you mentioned and didnt fire a code.
