Northwest Members - Finally got to the dyno today

I was originally wanting to do it at Turbo Tech but Nick said they're dyno guy was out for the week. I really wanted to get this done before I started school so I called up ProMax :eyes: . Anyway I was wanting to get it done yesterday so I was scheduled for 2, I come in an Bob (manager) says he's swamped an can't get me in untill at least 4 ok, fine no big deal I'm patient. So I come back later an I get on the dyno, get the wires hooked up, AND.....they don't have thier ratchet straps:jest: I guess somebody took them an didnt bring them back the day before or something. So Bob comes up to me an tells me he's sorry blah blah blah an asks me if I can come in tomorrow an he'll do it for free. Yea no problem I can do that, (I was in a good mood today for some reason) So, I come back today at 9 an we get my car back on the dyno an again Bob comes up to me an says, "We still don't have the ratchet straps but don't worry they're coming, just sit tight for about a half n' hour" At this poing my patience is wearing a little thin so I wait, wait, an wait. Finally, at 10 the ratchet straps come an we get everything hooked up. Cooper, the dyno guy, lets me know that we can't print a sheet for you or show you your torque, just horsepower. I can tell these guys don't stay in business cuz of thier out of date dynojet but whatever :jest: oh ya I put down 385 rwhp with my puny GT2-3 cam an Stage 1 LS6 heads, I didnt quite reach my goal of 400, but im still satisfied, at least it was free but I'll never go to ProMax again

Nice, also I have taken my car there and to Turbo Tech, at TT SAE corrected I put down about 12 more hp than at Promax, so you may be right at 400.

Yea I prolly still will take it to TT eventually just so I can see what the torque is, I am pretty confident that its very close to my hp as Ellis is awesome at getting those numbers to match, it definitely doesn't feel like I have that much power with as smooth as it drives.

yea blake's car is pretty nasty, I didnt know what fast was till he let me drive that thing:jest: When I saw he had nitrous I was just like "holy hell you got nitrous too?" Ya everyone has nitrous these days, haha guess I'm out of the loop.

hahah for two months before deployment i was going through a bottle a week on a 200 shot trying give myself a reason to go with a crazy setup when i get back. But i will say my car was great on the motor i ran 11.3@122 cam only but only a 10.76@132 on the bottle i just couldnt drive it worth a crap. but hey i think i am selling the car so if anyone wants it ill pay a nice referral fee. What daredevil isnt telling you is how he gassed it in second and we almost lost it but it was fun. i cant wait to get back in the game but unfortunatley i have another 12 months over here.

damn good numbers blake, did you ever get a forged motor for that thing or still stock bottom end?

:jest: hey man gimme a break the roads were wet! Ya I was definitely caught off guard by the power, gave me a whole new respect for a 10 second vehicle. I'm pretty sure all he's got in there is a cam, he's still using the stock 853 heads. Blake also told me not to feel bad as he's takin it off-roading before, haha.

it has insurance guys i love my car but i dont worry obout that type of thing crash it and ill just make it cooler. No it does not have a forged motor. The car has under 40k miles and i drive it like a sally 90% of the time also i want to let something happen before i go and buy a new motor i guess. Honestley i am just not into super fast anymore i just want to sell mine and buy a zo6 when i get back and maybe do a few boltons lol im lame.

wow talk about customer service thas amazing thumbs up turbo tech. and ws6 man i havent really thought about it but i would take your z as a partial trade if you would want to. i would be willing to give a pretty good deal so i could persue projects ive always wanted and now can afford.

we will see what happens blake, i am about to buy my forged motor and prob rear end here shortly....
