Default Supercharger Cam

I know that the GT2-3 is a great cam to run with a LS1 procharger, I can get a smoking deal ont a GT2-2 cam. Wondering what you think, profiles seem identical other thatn lobe angle????

GT2-2 specs @ .050:
.573''/.580'' lift, 207/220 duration, lobe seperation 117.5 (-2 retard)

GT2-3 specs @ .050:
.571''/.578'' lift, 207/220 duration, lobe seperation 118.5 (0 advance/retard)

Either one of those cams would not be bad on a 347 with a P1.

I used the "SC1" cam from speed inc on my 347 P1SC setup and am happy with the results. 224/232 .581/.595 114 +2

Ya just after looking around alot more I think I ahve decided to go with somthing that will produce some more power in the mean time. I like that profile 224/232 .581/.595 114+2. How does it idle, it shouldn't be too bad @114?

Pretty good really. Idles at 850rpm very nice and docile. I had to drill out the hole in the TB by like 1/32, but no biggie...

Really??!?! Kind of surprising on a FI car. Drill the TB is kind of dangerous on FI cars because the car can develop a fast idle very easily.

Not a problem with a huge race bypass valve on the plenum right before the intake track to the TB

The reason I bought that cam was because of what a local guy told me about the results he had when he bought his. Here is a portion of a PM conversation with him:

Just wanted to let you know the cam I used in my SS was the SC1 from speed inc. I went from 508 Rwhp @ 13# boost to 570 Wrhp @ 10#. It made a ton more power at a more efficient boost. You could really feel the difference in the driver seat.
This guy had stock compression, forged Diamond pistons for the reliability but CR was left untouched. It was internally stock spec. only forged pistons, rod bolts, head studs and valve springs for the cam.

I don't know what the cam alone did for me by itself because I put it in when I did my whole new build. But I have been happy with it, and I make decent power

Holly, that's pretty crazy considering 3lbs less. Do you think I would get decent gains n/a with bolt ons(exhaust, intake, etc) running this cam until I get a s/c? I want to get a good bang for buck and install a cam but am saving for a supercharger. Might take a better part of a year or so, hopefully less? Would I be better off running something else until then, or could I run somthing a lil more agressive and get away with it when the superchager comes? I only plan on running 7psi max on stock internals. 450-500rwhp max, well initial plans anyways, horsepower is like sex. No mater how much you get you always want more!
