alright, ive been informed about the get together going down between the GTO guys and the mustang drivers (best of luck to our gm brothers), going down in september at gainesville

i cant remember the extact number mark gave me on the total amount of cars running but its $60 dollars a car for 8 hours of track rental, thats not bad considering the track is going to be kept up while were there....

i wouldnt see this happening for a few months, but id like to see everyones input...

i wouldnt mind seeing a fbody v mustang race.....id have to get more info on getting the mustang guys there....

I'm down for a rental, but I don't think the mustang guys will pony up for another track rental so close to the GTO rental. Most likely have more luck with the GTO guys since they always want to race, and seem to be a larger community willing to travel to the track.

It is 40 cars per club, 80 total. We can get a list of us together then post about it on other sites to fill in the rest.The date for the gto vs mustang is sept 8, if you guys want to watch it is $5. They will be running their T&T afterwards.

Sounds good. This would be at Gainsville, right? Also, what would be the times (from when to when) for this? I think it would be a cool way to start this kinda thing out would be to cruise there as a large group showing up all together... Well, as many that could, obviously not everyone will be right on time. What about Dodge guys??? Are there any dodge clubs that would go for this?

While i love the enthusiasm it would take alot more then a bunch of F-Bodys to scare those Mustang boys off, MMJax is a tight crew and they always have good turnouts, with some serious cars. And if any of the Mustangs ive seen come out of Tony's shop show up its gonna take one hell of a Goat to contend :)

Im a GM guy at heart, and personally will never own another stang, the scene here in this area is Heavy with some VERY serious Blue Ovals.

Doesnt really matter, its a race, and the fastest car wins :), last time i was at Tony's he had 5-6 700+rwhp stangs in there, like i said my loyalty is 100% LS GM, but those goats may be in trouble :drive:

very very true, all im saying is in this area the % of 700+ RWHP cars are mostly Mustangs, and imports, would i own one, no, does that make them better cars, no, does that mean theres a lot more ford and import fans with stupid amounts of money to throw at thier cars around here, Yes. Unfortunetly at the end of the day that means if you get 40 mustangs and 40 LS's from this area by % the mustangs are probably gonna win. And yes, it hurts to say that.

I'm interested in coming out to watch the ford vs. gto stuff. Plenty of notice so it wont be a problem. Are we going to do the group cruise thing to that so we all roll in at once?

i used marks get together as a benchmark for ours....but i need more info and input from other guys around north/central florida

Yeah, I know a couple of cars that will be shooting for the big dog mustangs. Roll cages will be the only problem. Have to save the best run for last. Should be fun.

actualy its a 377!! and i beleive it puts down around 700 horse power on the bottle not off of it. IF he had 4 digits he wouldnt have had a problem running down this zx 10. If your talking about the same car. a green notchback mustang that looks stock on the out side?
