Default Want to slightly lower WS6, spring suggestions?

I love the stance Hotchkis springs give LS1 F-Bodies, but dont know if the front would be too low on a LT1 F-Body with the heavier block as these are going on my '96 LT1 WS6. I dont want to go that low (wouldn't want to be as low as a Pro Kit setup). I'm really leaning towards BMR springs or trying to find a set of the SLP/Eibach springs if I can but am open to suggestions. The car has Bilstein HD shocks and I had the same shocks and a few different spring combos on my LS1 Trans Am and dont want to go much lower than 1" if I can help it.

Also, if anyone has any springs for sale, LT1 or LS1 springs, let me know what kind and how much you want for them.

There many many many threads on this you might find interesting.

Here is .02 cents.

If your going to use any springs please CHANGE shocks. Per Bilstein there not made for lowering springs.

My fav springs on the market is the Strano springs. But remember springs will require revalves or Konis.

Many people like the konis with stock springs and the hose mod!

I had 5 different setups on my LS1 Trans Am and my favorite was the Konis on stock springs and the hose mod (also had LG G2 super springs, full QA1 setup, Pro Kit/Bilstein HDs, BMR/Bilstein HDs).

I know LS1 springs. I dont know how LT1s are with the heavier nose because of the block.

For what this car's purpose is all I really need will be the Bilstein HDs on a slightly lowered car. I drive a 10 mile trip to work everyday in it and the road is as smooth as glass. I just want something to enhance the look a bit.

Why can't you keep the konis and lower hose mod? Blistein wouldn't suggest that setup so I won't etiher. But to each his own. I wouldn't use EIBACH springs!
Hotchkis
strano

that would be my pics. (if you had the shocks to match )

+1 on the Konis and hose mod. Be sure the Konis are single adjustables so you can use the lower spring perch.

I know this may sound stupid, but can you do the 'hose mod' on the front springs also?

another option for the fronts...to keep them from being TOO low would be the spacers that BMR sells.

they go under the mounting point on the bottom of the front spring/shock setup.
i think they are 1/2" thick.

so a set of springs with a 1.25" drop...with the spacer would yield a .75" drop give or take.
with all the stiffness and feel of the new springs.

just a though

I like my hotchkis drop a lot its not too low at all. I have long tubes and get no scraping at the end of my driveway wich is a bad slope. But you have the lt1 so it might be a tad lower in the front.

^^ Very nice!! Do you have any ground to fender measurements? What shocks are you running? Also, how is the ride and handling? Considering Hotchkis myself.
