Default Low oil problem

My car has only 16,300 miles on it and at 15k miles I went from regular to RP snythetic. Last week my low oil light came on and when I checked it I was about 2 quarts low. Anyone have any idea's on how I could be 2 quarts low after only 1,300 miles.

No, but I suggest that you put some oil in it. I would suggest that you check your oil filter and your drain plug. The oil filter has to be tight so that it won't leak. But, you can get it to tight which can kink the rubber gasket and make it leak. Quiet often people tighten the oil filter to tight. I suggest that you check the oil filter.

How many quarts are you filling it up with after an oil change first of all. Is your car burning oil?

There are no leaks, no black smoke from the exhaust, and I put in 6 quarts.
