ATTN: NW side members WITH TATTOO'S
Hey guys, I have been putting alot of thought into this and will be taking the plunge and getting my first tattoo. I will be getting two crests which will be going on my back.
One being a family crest and the other being a Texas Crest.
What I am asking is if there are any recommendations of artist's or tattoo places that are on my side of town (again NW Houston/Cypress area).
I am checking out Texas Body Art bc I have heard nothing but great things about them, and will be going tomorrow to go talk to them and talk with the artists and check out pricing.
I just wanted to know if anybody on here has delt with Texas Body Art or any other place.
Thanks

This is our crest which I will be getting on my right side of my back/shoulder:
(sorry for the crap resolution, it was as small pic)
Pretty much it symbolizes all my life long friends, stories, games that I have made and been to in college, along with having the spirit of the state of Texas and the spirit of UT. Basically everything I love that is outside my family.
and for my left side, which "theoretically is watching the back of my heart" is my family crest... this isn't the exact family crest that has been passed down in my family, but is very smiliar
edit: the family crest my family has is actually in the shape of a crest like the Texas one I posted above so they would be symmetric as well :o

and if anybody is looking for a family crest if they do not knows what theirs might not look like, this is a pretty good website.

the family crest is cool, but that UT one looks pretty lame. Someone with lack of artistic talent must have designed that one.
If you must do a UT one, how about a simple longhorn logo with "Hellraisers" below it. Clean and simple, none of that goofy beer mug stuff with crappy colors.

I have my family crest on my back, I got mine done in Maryland so no help here, but just like you I am looking to add to it with something texas. I do like the hellraisers crest but, personally imo, I would do the family crest on your back, since your family is always watching your back, and the hellraisers on your arm. They both look good, just dont know if they would look good side by side. Just my personal opinion though. Good luck on getting them done and the worst part is the fear right before you get it. Once it starts you dont hardly fell it.

like i said the one i had to blow up is shitty and outdated. I have our crest shirt with the actual size and colors.
but see that is boring to me, and anybody can have a longhorn with hellraisers underneath it. this is something that i have liked and found perfect for me.
thanks for the input though, always open to that.

won't be too bad bc I can do the art work. spent 3 years in highschool in advanced art. something many don't know about me.
I save alot of the time bc I already have what I want on Trace paper. all they have to do is see what colors i want, transfer the image to transfer paper and bada bing

BTW, that crest is just the square image. The border around it with the knight's head is on all of the names on that website. Try a few different names, you'll see.
The hellraisers logo might seem cool at the moment since you are just getting out of school and are still in the beer chugging phase of your life, but it will look kinda goofy when you are 30 at the swimming pool trying to pick up the ladies.
Seriously, get a pro to re-design the hellraisers logo into something nicer for you

it def is not a phase, and the stein is essential in the group as it is a tradition that your Big Brother in the org. buys you your stein at the end of your first year. Something I will have with me the rest of my life, unless of course I break.
There are more meanings to me than just purely hellraiser stuff. thanks for the info, and the artist and I talked over some stuff today, and I go back tomorrow to check it out.
But as of now, I am thinking of things that i can do to connect the two, and possibly making a cool back piece
