Default Help me rid my car of spider webbing/swirls

Pretty self-explanatory. I have some spider-webbing and swirls I need to take care of. Anything at all I can do for that?

If you want to do it yourself .. search .. and read .. read .. read .. then come ask questions.

if you want someone else to do it .. you live in the correct town.

It is hard to throw a hand grenade in this forum without hitting someone the lives close to you that can take care of your issues.

If you wish to do this yourself, you can start with this kit:

TCPC-10 kit priced at $161.99

For stubborn spider webbing, you may need a yellow "medium cutting" foam pad.

It is very safe for beginners or novice and won't burn the paint. The learning curve is short. You'll appreciate and amaze yourself with the results.

If you want someone else to restore your finish in your area, contact someone like Gipraw(Doug).

Steve's package worked great on my car... two passes left a great swirl free finish on my black car. Using the PC was very easy, just crank it up and let it do the work, the 1" per sec is good advice and gets the best results.

I ordered Steve's kit on Tuesday. Got it yesterday. I'll be deswirling my black 94Z with it.

I tried it last night on my new hood (that has been wet sanded with 2000 grit paper). The yellow / 3M compound / Porter Cable combo isn't quite getting the 2000 grit scratches out (well, it is, but it's taking looooong time and many applications). I've only cut half the hood with 2000, I'm going to go see if I can find some 2500-3000 grit paper to cut the other half of the hood with. I'm going pretty slow too, 'cuz I don't want to damage the paint.

I talked to Steve a little while ago. Thanks for calling, man.

It helps if you run the PC a little faster than 2.

Yeah, I've built my own solid roller 383 engine, transmission, installed my own gears, etc... but don't know how to run a buffer.
