Way too low. I would say you have a leak some where.

Belt not tight enough? It should be so tight that it is HARD to turn the longest stretch of the belt sideways 90 degrees.

That was my problem when I first started out with my Vortech 383 - I just wasn't used to the amount of tension they need for traction. Tightened it up like people here told me, and boost went up into the 6-7 range.

i checked the belt, its maybe not as tigth as it could be, but its rather tigth though,

two things i i am thinkin about,

this car still has the stock manifiolds and Y pipe, could that effect how much the paxton is boosting?

other thing, the damper seem to be damaged, it shakes realy much when the engine is running, this is the only thing that drives the blower belt, could it be that the pressure from realy tigth belt have caused that? and maybe be the answer?

That is not a good sign...

What engine ? What model of Paxton ?

If you see the damper shaking, you REALLY need to sort that issue first, before you cause damage to the crankshaft.

Has the crank been pinned or keyed to securely locate teh damper to stop it rotating ?
A blower can place considerable drive loads on this, and the dampers have been known to work loose.

The NOVI 2000 is capable of twice that and more.
