I have a 96 GMC Sierra with a standard side post battery. I bought a Optima red top so that I didn't have to worry about corrosion. Since it is both a side and top post battery, I decided to change it to a top post on the positive side. Before the conversion I had problems with it not being able to start unless I unscrewed the post and screwed it back in. Now that I converted it, it makes a the grinding noise a good amount of the time. I was wondering if it could be that something is still loose or if I just did something wrong.
