Seafoamed my car...added so much power, took out the clutch!
Well, thats almost true. I did seafoam my car then went out to "clean it out". I dropped the clutch at about 3500, blew the tires off..shifted into second, pedal went to the floor, engine revved but I didn't really going anywhere.
Yes I know the seafoam wasn't the reason, taking it to the track a few weeks ago was. It never got hot though.
Really this thread is about clutches.
Why do we have so many problems with clutches?
Some people swear by spec, others hate them. Some people like Rams, others hate them. Honestly I am scared to buy a clutch.
The thing is, it has a bent shift fork in it, so I will be getting a T56rebuilds when the trans comes out, then the updated hydraulics, and I'm afraid it's not going to work right after that.
It's a 00' Firehawk w/ 320 rwhp. See's the track rarely.
I am going to start searching and reading.
Is the LS7 clutch good? I have heard good things about it, but I have read a few posts saying it's lighter or something and hurts low end?
