Well we bought the street car and took all of the old parts from our race car and put them on a new engine. Here is our setup.
STOCK LS1 Cylinder Heads w/dual valve springs stock valves
346CI LS1 engine rebuilt by HK Enterprises
244/250 @ 110 LSA (Our old cam only cam)
Kooks 1 7/8" Headers
Cut Out
Whisper Exhaust
Fast 90MM Intake
NW 90MM Throttle Body
Stock Air Induction
Speed Density Tune
6 Speed GTO Transmission
Spec 4 Clutch
Stock Rear End w/stock gears
This was this morning with the temperature at 93 degrees, BP 29.98 and the humidity was about 75%. Pretty good for a 346 with stock ls1 heads and just a happy little cam.

how is that "CAM ONLY" when you have headers, FAST 90/90 intake, etc...you have added bolt-ons which no longer makes it CAM ONLY...
CAM ONLY means doing what i did before anything else (intake, heads, headers, etc), i installed a cam and supporting valvetrain upgrades and went from 325rwhp/330rwtq to 350rwhp/344rwtq respectively...
BTW, the cam is a tiny Comp 224/224 .581/.581 @112lsa

That is defentially not the right way to do things. Unless doing a cheeter cam or something alone that line you would want to do the supporting mods before or during the cam install.
What you did would be similar to doing gears and a 4000 stall and keeping the stock 245 tires on the car.
Not saying it can't work but it isn't the best direction to choose.

I'm relaxed but it was/has never been explained to me as stock internals only. I was told that once you started adding bolt-ons then that nulls the 'cam only' results. open to interpration, and can see where that could be misleading...
Also, I never ment for my words to come across as them misleading anyone, just looking for info/explaination/definition of what cam only means, and now i know. took it a little to literally, my bad. but i have to say i really did do a 'cam only' way to modding my car...:lol:

i agree somewhat with what the other guys said of "How is this cam only??"
I agree with it NOT being a cam only because of the FAST 90 intake and NW 90 TB and the speed density tune.. (no maf), and a cut out (headers are pretty much a necessity with ANY mod on these cars so im not counting that)
... so.. its a PARTIAL cam only...in my opinion.. because the only thing left to change would be the heads and CI of the short bock.. to me thats not a cam only..

Cam-only pretty much means you don't have heads or any other "internal" work done such as new pistons, rods, crank etc etc. When you do internal work to a car, (ie cam) Bolt-ons are pretty much a given to support the internals, otherwise your pretty much throwing away the true potential of the cam. One exception might be the Cheater cam as I think it's designed to work with the stock manifolds.

I'll let Joe post the graph as I suck at that. Not it is not stock internals as I posted it was a built 346 by HKE. We tried to make this just like our record car but when the engine blew after we bought it I wasn't about to put a stocker back in. It is an eagle rotating assembly but stock cubic inches.
This isn't for the cam only record as we still hold that at 472rwhp on our orange car. That car was STOCK Internal's with STOCK LS1 heads.
I just thought the numbers were amazing since it had stock ls1 heads untouched and is a heavy ass street car.
Now comes the good mods:) Heads, NITROUS, 9" and Gears here we come. I finally get my own race car:)

I dont like the MN12 as I think the regular M6 drove better. Joe likes it. The orange car put down something around 377rwtq. Since we didn't have a lid on hand yes that was with the stock lid.

I am in a position with the right parts to make a run at 470+ rwhp. I am not in a position to run their cam only times.... it would look like prison rape.

dyno's are dyno's... with out brake specific numbers a dyno is just a tool to tune... you need to get air/fuel comsumption numbers to say how much HP your making... i dont really like dyno's to be used for HP figures unless you have brake specific numbers...

I agree cam only is stock heads but when the bottom end is rebuilt is where i think it becomes not "cam only". I could rebuild my bottom end and add some hp with light pistons that have valve relief that increase C/R + get another .1 of displacement.
