awful banging sound...help Whenever I hit a pot hole or when I floor it and go from first to second, I hear an awful banging sound coming from one of the rear wheels. It sounds as though plastic is snapping. Is this a transmission problem? Thanks

Do you have any aftermarket suspension? I had the same problem and re-tightened the subframe connectors and the panhard bar and the noise went away. I don't know which one of the two was causing the problem because I did them at the same time but the panhard bar was pretty loose. Other than that you might be hitting the bumpstops located directly above the rear axle.
