depends on who you know... figure no more than $500 but if i were you i would have them change the plugs and wires too. Since the headers are off and the **** is easier.

Most places charge $300-500 for a header install.

Go for it! Read this Sticky for some tips on installation. It's really not that difficult.

not difficult, just time consuming and occasionally bloody. Mechanic gloves really help with the latter 1/2 of that.

If you have access to a pit or lift, dont hesitate to do it yourself.. if your goign to do it on jackstands, that might be a pita.

yeah that's what I thought 300-500$, because i went down to this custom exhaust shop today that my friend referred me to and this mechanic who which I found out when I got there that he only specializes older muscle and classic cars, Soo then he said, I dunno let me look at the engine, telling him its an 346 aluminum small-block FI 5.7L yadayadayada and so when he took a look he pop't back telling me it would be soo much work, how there was so many things that would have to be done, but my point is he told me this kind of job would be around 900$ and i backed up and saying what, I know people that have done header and ory install for 300-500$ so we differently weren't on the same page, I was just kinda shocked when he told me it would be that much so I just wanted to clarify that, thanks for the input

I never thought I would be able to install a pair of lts on a ls1. After ready tons of threads on here I did them my self what a breeze. Chances are if you do some research on here you can install lts better then the average mechanic.

I'll have it done in less 4 hours.

Remove old botlts to header, remove header, install long tubes, install bolts. Not really that easy but you get the point. I did mine by rolling ontop of ramps and jacking off that onto stands, aprox 26 ish inches. passengers stock header will have to have the cat taken off when removing. Passengers long tube slides right in, so easy. drivers takes a few min. of moving it around then it will go in. its an easy job.

$900?

LOL, tell him you were asking for a HEADER install, not a HEADS & CAM install.

I think you should be able to get it done by a shop for $300 to $500 like the rest have said.

However, you can probably find some buddies with F-cars and do it for beer and pizza.

Every place around me either said they would NOT do it because it was "too much work" or they wanted upwards of $600.00 Would up doing it myself in one of my father's shops. Easier than expected, but took about 7 hours or so...
