Default Repost I know... HOW TO FIX MY STUPID WINDOWS!!!

Of course, as soon as I need some info, the search function doesn't work... I have the typical problem of my driver's window not cooperating (it tripped the overheat circuit five times before going all the way up in a cloudburst yesterday ) I've heard remedies ranging from increasing the size of the wires that supply power to the motors, to replacing/upgrading the motors themselves, to different switches, etc. Where can I find a comprehensive write-up on this common problem, so I don't go out and waste my time and money on something that's gonna break in a year and perform like crap anyways??? Thanks, my sweat glands apreciate it
