It's really just your opinion, it's not going to change the exterior sound of it..it will just be louder inside the car.

Dumps will give it a little different sound. Its hard to explain I just call it the "dumped sound". It will also be louder inside the car, but I also like that too.

I have dumps, no cam yet but am switching to tips...only reason is because i can for free buddy wants my dumps and i want his tails.

the dumps are louder for sure in the car, when im on the phone people know if im driving down the road because of the dumps.

my car is louder than most H/C/I cars that have tails just for the fact that it resonates off the ground.

I also like the look of having tips on a trans am.

Dont get me wrong i LOVE my dumps...but it draws alot of attention i've had the cops called for moving my car at 2 in the morning to go to get something to eat...

I can only imagine how loud it'll be with the torquer 2 cam in it.

I'll get a sound clip here in a few minutes.

My sig has dumped setup. I love it, but I'm sure eventually I'm gonna be forced to run it out the back. Not a whole lot changes the way dumped cars sound. Mufflers do to a point. Your car sounds pretty good though.

Thanks to all that have responded. I know that it will be louder in the car. At 2K RPMs, that drone i can not hear anything.., Imagine it dumped.. But the cool thing about my set up, is that 6 bolts and the tails come right off

My cam that i am running is a TSP Custom Grind... 228/232 .588/.595 110+4

I am still debating it.......

That is exactly the setup I want if I run them out the back. Why not just take the tails off, get some turn downs, slap 'em on and call it a day?

the tail pipes do cut down a lot on the interior noise...

Of course you should, because my car sounds better than yours (that's why). But seriously, the sound of these Flowmaster 1-chambers is noticeably different (and better IMO) when dumped vs run all the way out the back. They sound deeper with dumps and you hear much more of the tone of the muffler itself. Whereas, all that extra piping seems to take away that unique Flowmaster sound...

Anyway, if you would have called me back, maybe you could have had the chance to hear my car again in person tonight.

Take it easy and have a nice weekend Jonas...

Angle the dumps OUTWARD and you'd be surprised how not bad it is inside. JMO.

I dont know about dumped true duals but my gmmg exhaust stock manifolds is one step from being to loud inside for me. By meself i can stand it no problem, but with someone in the car with the radio on its a little hard to hear them. This is cruising down the highway regular driving i love it i dont care about anyone else

Here's mine Jonas! They aren't really dumped, I just haven't put on my Corsa tips yet.
I re re re did my exhaust and its way louder/deeper than before. It was a hacked up 3 times and not mandral bent. Too bad i'll need to find a way to make it quieter since the H/C/I i'm doing will make my car a freakin' BEAST!

Here's the SAME setup, but the crappy chopped up pipes.

IMO the only difference between dumps(mine were angled) and out the back (I had dumped XR1's and now have them em ran under the axle) is the bass. My car at WOT is much louder/deeper and more refined than when dumped. I think your car at idle sounds awesome the way it is.

Yeah, you really can't describe the way dumped sounds.

Maybe a little deeper...

I like the sound of duals out the back. But, take opinions with a grain of salt.
