If they are coated headers, there is your problem. Need to break them in while idling in the garage to solve it or run some olds ones for awhile and then put new in.

LT headers no matter what the type will burn up o2s....cars going to run richer, and the o2s simply cant handle it after awhile, also your extending the o2 wires which also causes problems....headers themselves dont make the difference

"headers themselves dont make the difference"

Sure they do. Depends on where the bung is. My FLP headers would burn through O2 sensors like mad; my Stainless Works headers just now went through a set after 25K. As for long extensions, use the bosch 13111, comes with a VERY long wire on it. Autozone has them for $63. As far as the post about coated headers, he means burn some of the coating off using old O2's THEn run new ones later.

I have stock O2 sensors on my car for more than 5000 miles now with no problems. I went 3 weeks of daily driving, 20 1/4 mile runs and a lot of "spirited driving" before I got my tune.

My front passenger side was already failing before headers so I had to use a rear one on the front.

So I am using my driver's front and passenger rear as my 2 front O2 sensors on my car.

I have extensions which are plug in, no splicing.

My headers are QTP Stainless Steel with HVMC headers that have been ceramic coated.

It's no guarantee it will work for you but every bit helps I think.

umm as in LTs being untuned will burn up o2 sensors....regardless of brand its the change in location....the o2 locations in LTs compared to LTs is not that significant compared to stock manifolds and LTs....so yes in the long run when you get LTs, their going to burn up o2s faster then your stock manifolds

It's not going to matter what brand of header you get

yeah i have the xs headers, and jet hot y pipe. I was getting codes for the front o2s not heating up enough a few months after my header install. And this was after a tune, but the codes went away when it started getting warm outside.

I probley also have a few exhuast leaks, im gonna get the xs ypipe soon.
