Burst knock. I increased the intial duration of burst knock control in the pcm and it's all gone for the most part. I think the factory setting was 3 crankshaft rotations. I upped it to 60 or so, which is still a very short period of time. I also chopped the decay rate in half (was 25, now 12.5).

Try adding .02 across the table of the stock numbers.
To get rid of it 8 across the table
Burst knock retard
enable delta cyl air
Is it necessary? I think its for gas saveing.

Recovery rate sounds right. That should be set to something like .25 from the factory. I chopped it in half and will probably end up leaving it at .10 when I'm done. The other setting was a delay. This was one cell in my software that said....wait 'x' crankshaft revolutions before using the above decay rate. It shouldn't have anything to do with ECT.
My understanding is, Burst Knock tables exist because spark will arive faster than fuel. So when you mash the gas, you need to tell the spark to hold off a split second. If you increase the delta too much, you're effectively disabling Burst Knock Retard. I think it's a good thing to have. Too much and it'll make tip in feel like a slug though. But, just enough to keep the knock sensors happy is definitely ok. If you set the delay I'm talking about to somewhere in the range of 50~80 crank revolutions, it's less than a tenth of a second that the initial timing is pulled. Real knock retard doesn't recover as fast as burst knock. So, if it's knocking more often than not on tip in, the car will actually perform slightly slower off the punch more often than not when the knock sensors are tripped.
