Reset pcm after o2 install?

sorry if this is a stupid question, but if i install new sensors (for me o2's and ect), do i need to reset the pcm for these to take full effect or is automatic and the codes will clear?

I reset my codes with HPTuners, but if you don't have that you can reset the battery or do the 3 drive cycles (should clear after driving it 3 times).
