I had the car dyno about a week ago and I want to know what you guys think of the results. I think they are pretty low and the tuner even said he has never seen anything that low for the amount of mods done. The car runs great though.

Car: 2000 Camaro SS 53,000 miles A4

Mod list: TR224 cam 112,LS6 intake, 918 springs, ls6 oil pump, longtube headers, cutout, ported tb, ss4000 stall.

Results: 351.6 rwhp 341.6 rwtq open cutout
328 rwhp 331 rwtq cutout closed

The baseline run was 307hp and 317 tq.

Whats wrong with my car??

Your exhaust sucks too. You shouldnt loose 23 hp closing the cutout

TRUTH!! :jest: my tuner said the same thing. He has never seen that big of increase from just uncaping the exhaust.

I had one that was real low on power. We put a back pressure gauge in the 02 bung, it had almost 15 pounds of back pessure!!! Should only have about 1 1/2 pounds.
We dropped the exhaust and picked up 30 HP!!!

What type of Dyno? I ran my tr224 on a mustang dyno and got 353rwhp/361rwtq no cutouts. Month later put her on dynojet and pulled 388/393 with no changes. All I know is I ran a 11.9 on the stock 10-bolt so I'm happy. :)

Sorry, just saw it was on a dynojet.

That's definitely a locked graph, and should be 20 or so RWHP higher being locked like that. I made very similar HP numbers UNLOCKED.

My mod list is in my sig, for the most part. This was done through a Purolator paper filter...not like it makes much difference

My car is a M6. What you are looking at is the difference between the first and ninth dyno pull after Mike Norris got his hands on the car. Interestingly enough, the last time the car was on the same dyno and got it's last tune for the cam, it put down 375/367 (those were STD numbers, not SAE....I posted the SAE version of the current graph, my STD numbers are in the sig). Nothing since then has changed except a cutout and 4.10 gears. I was in shock when the car laid down the low numbers it did in the first pull, quite frankly, I am still not quite sure what happened.

Seems like the only cars that consistenlty produce fairly low numbers with a TR224 or similarly sized cam, are 98 cars due to their shitty heads.
