Default How long should this take?

I'm getting my M6 rebuilt and was wondering how long I should expect the car to be in the shop for. I'm also getting a clutch and new slave put in at the same time. The rebuild is pretty minor. Reverse syncro, 3-4 shift fork and keys and sliders.

I should add that the car has been in the shop for almost 5 weeks and I am starting to wonder about it.

With the right tools, all the needed parts, and some experience, that should not be more than a day or two tops.

Ok. Assuming all the parts needed to be ordered I couldn't see it taking more than 2 weeks. Does anybody have an estimate on hours or labor it should take? In this case it doesn't concern billing but it might be a factor in how long this is taking.

It takes us about 2 hours from tear down, cleaning to assembly. Keep in mind we do alot of these so that is why our time is shorter than most. Our labor cost is a flat $350. Depending on if the parts are back ordered that could take time. I know up until last week we had a back order on keys and pads.

I am getting keys and pads done so maybe that is part of the delay. How long were you looking at for a back order time?

I'd be bitching at the shop, no car should take that long for that work.
