Default 03 Mustang LS1 Conversion

Im planning on putting a LS1 with a turbo setup in my 03 Mustang. I know a fair amount about cars but any help along the way would be great! Everything is pulled and at the moment Im pulling wires that I dont need anymore. LS1 is in the shop getting cleaned up and checked out. Everything is pretty much either here or on its way for the swap. So if anyone wants to help out a bit take a look from time to time! Thanks!

I'm looking forward to seeing this swap progress. What are the plans for this car? Most ls1 hybrid sn95+ Mustangs are strip cars, will this see any street duty? Will you retain AC? What do you plan to do about the hydroboost setup?

All this is going to be is a street car. I dont plan on taking it to a strip. Im getting rid of the a/c for now. Ill keep the components just in case I want it later on down the road.

this just doesn't seem like a good idea. The 03/04 cobras are pretty badass with the motors in them.

Interesting conversion. I'm doing a 2000 mustang with a 2000(hp)LS1. You doing motor plates or mounts?

seems as though a ls1 just isnt good enough in a mustang, everyone on here has to put a turbo on it too.........lol, thats stupid, who would do that..lol

Ive been watching your progress Phil! Im going with mounts. A plate seemed a bit extreme for a street car.

I'd assume cost and weight would have something to do with it.

Yeah...Cobra engines are alot even with pretty good miles on them. I got the LS1 pretty cheap and have been rebuilding it. The only thing on the engine that I kept was the block and crank.

I've got some mounts started if you want to finish them.

Rear axel is out. The whole car is pretty much stripped. Just waiting on all the parts. Got most of them from Texas Speed.
