Default Rear shock bolts on top came off... what size to replace?

Tracking down some rattles in the back of my car yesterday and found that the top shock bolts were gone in the back passenger side. I know I put two on. It'd be a huge help if someone could tell me what size those are. Thanks.

The rear shocks in my car has a single nut that threads onto the end of the shock shaft. I don't know what you are describing.

The shocks don't have any bolts that attach. Just some nuts at the top and a big nut at the bottom.

I'm talking about the rear shocks - bottom end bolts to the axle - top end shoots straight up inside the cabin with a rubber bushing underneath the car and another inside, then it gets capped off with a wide washer and a nut. The nut came off in my car. To get at it, you gotta pull back the carpet and it's got some foam over it. I'll just take the nut off the other side too and go up to the hardware store to match it.
