got my "new" slp lid 2day...

and the old design fit better. supposidly this new design was supposed to fit better but the original design they had was far better fitting imo. just an fyi for anyone thinking about switching for the promise of a better fit.

dude i got one of those too. i really don't like the way it fits. i had a hard time gettin the maf to fit.

ill get some pics this weekend. my buddy has my camera. ya the maf is tight as hell but i dont care as im going sd and it seems to buckle a bit in the middle and want to pop out of the clamps.

You'd have to do some searching around to find that answer...basically, someone a while back posted about how the SLP lids were all out of stock everywhere. At that point, SLP stated that they were redoing the lids, which seemed to amount to a different manufacturing process that allowed for a tighter fit (and thus higher quality). The information is around here somewhere...it was just kinda obscure, and I think their intent was to make the change transparent to the end-user. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. Every complaint I've heard to date on this update revolved around the neck being too small, making the MAF a PITA to get in.
