Convert it to a 85mm if you can program the Tables into that PCM.

Well if you dont convert to an 85mm, I think almost any maf off a gm v8 from 98-06? will work. I didnt have a maf for my 05 LS2 and it had the same part number as a ls1 maf.

Someone has told me to use the zo6 MAF. I'm not sure how big it is (85mm?) but it will (should)work with some minor tuning. It should allow me to drive the car to get to the shop where the tuning will take place. I will need a adapter to change from my MAF 98 harness to the MAF ls6 harness. I think it just plugs in between the existing maf plug and the zo6 maf....?....

Does this sound right?

I saw the adapter because speed inc sells a LS6 MAF conversion. It comes with the harness and sensor and I hear the ls6 maf does require tuning on a LS1.

Oh yeah and also the LS6 maf is all plastic and has no screens. Another benefit over the aluminum ends as far as heat soak goes. I think that would be my choice.

^^That's the 85mm one..the Z06 MAF. The same one is used in the newer Trucks, the LS2 Vettes..

If you purchase this MAF gm part # 25318411 how do you fit it on to an Fbody since the lid and bellows are only made for a 75mm MAF?

And for the lid I guess I would need one of those TSP 85mm deals which, from what I understand, they don't make anymore. Is there another option?

So a new lid is not in order. Well now that I went to the SLP website and saw their installation instructions I see what you are talking about. The vision in my head has a "rigged" look with the hose on either side of the MAF. Are there two worm clamps used with the additional tubbing (one on the input of the MAF and one on the lid output?
