I heard that there is ZERO tax in New Hampshire???
Man that would be a benefit in modding. My money would go twice as far.

I live in NH. Yeah not paying the extra few pennies on the daily purchases is nice..... but you get raped in property taxes.
I am in the market to buy a house in the next few months and the average rate we are seeing is around $4000 a year. The kicker is my soon to be wife works in Mass and pays income taxes to Mass, and I work in Maine and I have to pay income taxes to Maine on top of the crappy ass property taxes. This equals to almost $10,000 a year between the two of us
We cant find a property in Mass that we like in our price range, and Maine is too far. We can find 100's of homes in NH that are in our range that are close to what we want.
In my personal opinion if you work and live in Mass, it is the same as working and living in NH as far as tax $$ goes.

Ahhh yes. I see.
I am writting from Canada - so I would be taxed regardless.
I also read the property tax is plain silly. I suppose it likely works out in the end, the savings in taxes are accumulated through high property taxes.
