after bbk intake

Default after bbk intake

and mods car runs alittle hoter and fans were already tuned to turn on faster.i tried putting a hypertech 160 degree thermostat but it woudnt fit has any one had this problem in a 99 transam

the thermostat wouldn't fit? You got the whole thermostat with housing right? I hear you need to get the whole thing with the elbow and everything... if you just got the thermostat itself then that's probably why it wouldn't fit...

Different year cars have a slightly different thermostat housings. Sounds like you got the wrong one for your car.

I replaced the stock thermostat last month on my 1999 trans am, these years come as one piece, thermostat and housing. As for the gauge... 1999 and later f-bodies have a dummy gauge, temperature climbs real quick but car is really not.
