Default Got my car on the road! finally.....

Well finally i have reached the end of the road and i have felt boost! Finally got MOST of my bugs worked out and the car runs good on the low boost. W2W finished the tune and the car runs strong for the low boost and definitely puts you back in the seat with all the early torque. I have been driving it to and from work the last 3 days and Friday i took it on a long trip down to Woodward which was a blast and the car ran great! About 150 miles and all went well. Very happy, just thought i'd let all of you know that its finally complete! Here is a quick clip of it for the sound that was taken on my way out to Woodward... (40-45 roll, out of one my deadspots trying to be easy on the tranny)
http://www.joeldevriendt.com/files/p..._7_6_woodward/ and click on MOV02666 . The others are some pics my friends took from the Woodward night and such so you can browse if you wish...

And some pics!

Few things i still need to get worked out... angle my WG dumps a little different so they dont dump straight at the ground, hopefully that will get rid of the immense about of WG noise i hear inside. The trans needs a little more fine tuning, the RPMs seem to come up too fast for the computer to shift so it wants to bang the limiter, feels like it just needs a little more fine tuning and its set. Have a PYE 3400 on the way that should eliminate my dead spots and put me into 400+ rwtq as soon as i hit it since i make power so early.

Thanks guys, this is with the WGs dumped for those who like the sound. Only seeing 5.5 psi of boost for now until i get used to it. Later on i'm going to invest in an eboost2 and bump it up.

Congrats. It nice to see the light after walking down the long dark tunnel that FI tends to be. Its all worth it in the long run.

420/413 threw my auto on a mustang dyno. Makes 400 rwtq at 3800 rpms. I am having some tranny issues atm, i'm not sure if its actually tires spinning, or my shift points are a little high and the computer isnt keep up fast enough, or if the tranny is starting to go, haha. I am also getting some blow by which i guess is normal for a stock ls1 boost car, it doesnt blow smoke like crazy or anything, its just been really hot lately and after i rip on the car and drive home, my garage stinks like hot oil fumes, lol. But it runs strongs if it shifts! I need to do something in the tranny dept. now i think

Graphs hard to read but it starts at 3000, ends at 6100, black is torque, blue is hp.

thanks for the underhood compliment KP, i spend a lot of time on that section of the car, i take pride in the underhood. It moves out okay for 1 gear until it decides to bang the limiter. I think the trans is partially gone due to the fact that it wont shift at WOT. Im going to make some calls tomorrow to see what direction to take with the trans. Now i am really feeling the lovely, bank breaking addiction of speed

You may just have to program the shifts way early, especially the 1-2. But I'm sure you know the drill with the turbo and a 4L60..

yea, could just be the tuning, but eventually that things gunna go and i wont be able to get anything for a blown tranny. Can prolly get a few hundred the way it sits if its alright which will help.

sounds like what my tranny was doing after a few days with 460hp... better start looking for a new one soon! and be sure to do your research on trannies before you pull the trigger. i learned the hard way and my car sat for 4 months

Well i made a few calls today. One to Rich and he said that the shift points probably need to be switched and that he will get it straightened out for me, so i'll be heading down soon for some in car tuning. Hopefully it works out good. If not i made a call today on a 4l80-e. If my trans is gone, thats the route i'll take, but i think once i get these shift points right, this trans should last for a decent time on the low boost
