somebody wants to sell me his GMMG exhaust thats coming off a 1995 Trans Am LT1. Would this fit right up to my 2001 Camaro SS?

jlashley...You're KILLING me with all these threads about changing your exhaust set-up! j/k Is this really Jonas (TORCHD 02 TA posting under another screen name?). haha

But seriously, why on earth would you get rid of your true dual set-up for a 3" cat-back system (let alone go back to a Y-pipe)??? You've never seemed to be happy with your duals since they were installed (not sure why?), but just leave them on there already and run the type of mufflers you want. If you removed the cats and added some Flowmaster 1-chambers, your car would sound like no other LS1 on the road. Those Flowmasters sound very distinct (like true old school muscle).

Anyway, I had the GMMG w/ a highflow catted Y-pipe on my LS1 last year and switched it out for a 3" H-pipe, no cats, and the Flowmaster 1-chambers dumped before the axle (both set-ups were off of some Kooks LT's). The GMMG set-up sounded "alright," but I would never, ever go back to that system, let alone a Y-pipe set-up. The sound of my true duals absolutely puts the GMMG/Y-pipe combo to shame.

It's your car and money though...

well the mufflers i have on it just doesnt sound good to me....it sounds like when oh lets say you have a paper towel to your mouth and humm or talk or whatever...thats what it sounds like, really "muffled". And no matter what im not going to dump my exhaust simply due to interior noise and rattles. If i didnt care about that there would be no doubt i would go with the 1 chamber flows dumped!!! Superior sound in my opinion. Maybe I should go with the powerpack mufflers or something...my exhaust guy act like he wouldnt or couldnt get the powerpacks to fit. IM JUST REALLY CONFUSED AND FRUSTRATED!
