AFR to shoot for off dyno on street
So hear the number 12.8 or something to shoot for. I dont have dyno handy but do have wideband. What should I look for on wideband to set it for best power on the street. I dialed it leaner today on hptuners put in 1.14 which is roughly 12.8 but got slight knock retard on pump 91.So went 1.2 then 1.18 at higher rpms.Car seems pretty good and knock was zero. So should this get me close enough. I have not actually hooked up my wideband to verify afr yet. Just used the numbers in hptuners to roughly figure out what that afr would be. You divide 14.7 by the number in the table.
So would it be normal to run say 12.5 on the street and 12.8 on the dyno. Heard with non load dynos like old dynojet if you set it like 12.8 on that you will be lean on street and likely knock.

MY99TAWS6:
Set your PE at first for a constant number across the board like 12.8:1. Go here and get RussK's MAF AFR % error cfg. http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showpo...63&postcount=2 Make some WOT pulls and apply this MAF error back against the MAF table with paste/special %. After you do this just 2 or 3 times your AFR commanded and AFR actual will line up with one another. Now that you can hit the target AFR, leave it at 12.8 across the board and move it to 13.0-13.1:0 from 5200 up. You will likely find that if you are hitting this AFR on the dyno that you will be very close.
