cutout with stock headers
i have a 1998 trans am. and i was wanting to put dual electric cutouts on it.
should i get long tube headers and do the cutout and leave the rest of my stock exhaust on there?
or should i just put the cutouts on there with the headers?
will i still get alot of power or not?
any input would be helpful
the reason i don't want to put a full exhaust on my car is the cops around where i live are real dick heads about exhaust.

Elec. cutouts can be a pain. My McCord isn't working now. Also, headers will give you more trouble from the smog police than a catback would. I say a single cutout, egr/air fitted headers, catted y-pipe and a catback, for the win.
