Default cutout with stock headers

i have a 1998 trans am. and i was wanting to put dual electric cutouts on it.

should i get long tube headers and do the cutout and leave the rest of my stock exhaust on there?

or should i just put the cutouts on there with the headers?

will i still get alot of power or not?

any input would be helpful

the reason i don't want to put a full exhaust on my car is the cops around where i live are real dick heads about exhaust.

A single cutout in your I pipe will give you good gains.

I would just do a single cutout near the rear tire so you can get to it easily, then in the future when you get your headers and such buy the dual cutout kit.

Elec. cutouts can be a pain. My McCord isn't working now. Also, headers will give you more trouble from the smog police than a catback would. I say a single cutout, egr/air fitted headers, catted y-pipe and a catback, for the win.
