Knocking Sound

Knocking Sound When driving under a normal load (1400 rpms) the car sounds like it has a metal knocking sound to it. When i put it in gear and hold the brake down and rev the engine to 1400 you don't hear it. Any ideas? the engine only has 50k on it and less than 1k since getting all the upgrades on it.
