Default Where can I run cones over?

Any body here in Houston auto cross? Not looking for any thing competitive, just wanna go out and have fun. Never auto crossed before, wanna try and run some cones over. Looking for solo as I am a firm believer in rubbing is racing.

hey bizzatch...on july 21 and 22nd there is a practice autox up here in college station at A&M's riverside campus that is put on and is very well organized by the Texas A&M Sports Car Club (website is tamscc.org) and it is a blast! being a practice I think you pay 20 bucks a day or something along those lines and you can run ALL DAY LONG from 9 or so in the morning all the way til around 4 or so prolly.

I plan on being there myself and Pranav always posts up a link here in the texas section a couple days before it starts. I will post it up this time if he doesn't. It is a great way to have cheap fun in your car and not really have to worry about breaking anything as long as you dont do back to back runs for several hours straight.

Hope to see you out there! -Karl

I second the vote for the A&M autocrosses....I used to do them way back in the day and they are a lot of fun...and usually set up to where you can actually get some speed....
Give it a try Neil!! I think you won't be disappointed...

And a lot of times you can even get a ride from some of the more experienced drivers and they can give you some "pointers"....

At one point they were doing the AutoX at the Dog Track parking lot on 45-South. Not sure if that's still going on. I did it once - it was fun, but I'd like better tires next time.
