I bought it out of Sarasota last spring from a dealer who didn't know anything about it. It would hardly start, couldn't hold an idle and died as soon as you let out the clutch. I'm just curious if anyone recognizes the car... I'd like to know what it has for a cam in it.

'01 Z28 40k miles Cloth interior
LT headers
Magnaflow catback with ugly aftermarket tips
SLP lid, 85mm maf & "cold air kit"
SLP bolt on Subframe connectors
Cam...???
Viper alarm

I dropped the car off @ Eastside performance... it needed injectors, plugs and the tune was a mess, it ended up putting down 364hp and 324tq uncorrected in the heat.

Just wondering if the previous owner may be on here :chug:

assuming the motor is strong, its probly a little stronger than a LS6 cam. maybe 220ish.

Thats kind of what I was thinking...

I found a copy of the old title. It was owned by a guy in Bradenton, FL. His last name is "Shinn"... Anyone..?

The car has changed hands like 5 times in the last year between dealers and auctions so it's possible. It looks like the car was traded in at Cox Chevrolet in Bradenton, FL on 11/24/06.

Could D.A.V.I.D. (Driver and Vehicle Information Database) possibly help? If you have a friend who is a police officer, ask him if he can look at an entire vehicle's history by checking the VIN.

Never thought of that... my brother in-law is a cop. I'll have to ask him.

No codes... it was throwing every code in the book when I got it, but the car runs great now. 90% of the problem was in the tune.
