i am FRAGGIN pissed off about EGR!!!!!!! i have all my crap together to do a header install this weekend.. or so i thought. i was reading in hotrod magazine and they said that the 2000 ls1 has an F-ED up EGR and it wont fit with my jet-hot headers...????????????? what the hell is this all about?1!?!?!??!?

Re: i am FRAGGIN pissed off about EGR!!!!!!! If the Jet Hots are made for 98-99 cars then the EGR tube is different. 2000 is all by itself. Good news is you CAN bend the 2000 EGR tube enough to work, I have done it to put MAC headers on a 2000. Its tight but it can be done. If the headers were made for 98-99s your AIR tubes wont fit either, you can bend them to fit but they look pretty ugly if you do.. Easiest to find a used set of 98-99 AIR tubes.

Easiest is to just talk the EGR and AIR system into falling off the car, and coax the headers into growing blockoff plates

Re: i am FRAGGIN pissed off about EGR!!!!!!! ya i did like pongo and z28man and 'coaxed' them off with a couple of sockets and about 15 minutes of time. but if you need the 98 style provisions, ill sell you mine (EGR and AIR), just shoot me a pm or email
