how many of you turn off misfire detection?

how many of you turn off misfire detection? i was just wondering. i downloaded a few tunes from the ls1edit site and see that alof of people bump the number of misfires up so it wonr flash the ses light even if the p300 is deleted.
i was getting a flashing ses light from misfires on number 1 and 6, but after checking everything possible, i think it might need a crank re-learn done since its just number 1 and 6 that are seeing misfires and 1 and 6 are both a TDC at the same time, which leads me to think that the crank sensor might just be a little off due to the motor being apart.
