What color should I have my calipers powdercoated?
http://community.webshots.com/album/56647697EjDntK
I found a place where I can get stuff powdercoated and I'm thinking about doing my calipers. I was going to get LS1 brakes and polish them but I can just get mine powdercoated pretty cheap. So what color does everyone think? I'm thinking about the almost chrome from Eastwood Co.
Almost chrome
Black
Red(ehh)
Blue(ehh)

Boy, you guys are helpful
Do you have an accent color?
Hints.. have the calipers AND the brackts ground smooth of all casting marks.. after the powder paint they will look amazing be sure the powder place dosent powder insid the pin holes on the brackets.. and that they dont powder the machined surface where the brake line bolts down to.
My rears are done in high gloss black for caliper and charcoal grey metallic for the bracket.

It depends on what you got going with your car now or what you intend on doing with it later. Do you have any mods done to it besides wheels? Do you have any suspension mods or under the hood mods? Do you have any pics of your engine compartment? I went with red because the trim on the SS decals are red (black SS) and so I started doing a black and red scheme. Ex: Ive got a powdercoated red throttle body, STB, red letters on my lid that say LS1, red and black wires, etc. You have to start a color scheme with the car and go from there. Fortuantely for me, red and black are real common colors and make it easy on me. As far as giving you an opinion on color, cant really tell you that, but hopefully what I told you will help you decide. Thanks

I like the polished calipers and powdercoated brackets myself. $200 for all 4.

True, the brackets dont get as hot.. but they do get chipped up (if regular paint) from road rocks..
