Default 427 Rotating Group Depth

I'm putting an LQ4 into a kit car currently but I plan on eventually putting in a 427. The problem arises with my oiling system. I am running a shallow dry-sump pan. Here is a picture on the mock up block.

Here is the question: How far down below the block (into the oil pan) does the rotaing group on a 427 hang? I want to fad up a spacer (in between the pan and block) but I also want to have the engine as low a possible.

You should be fine. I have used quite a bit of stuff like that with no problem with the 4 inch cranks and rods out there. Remember that the block is deepskirted so even though the pan's thin there's still al lot of room there.

It would be lots easier to use a stock pan form whatever is going into and make it wet sump. That can be done quicky unless you have some particular need for the dry sump?
