Check out these new intakes.....they just popped up today and this the first time i have seen them. So what does everyone think? The quality looks good in the pics....I really want to get an aluminum/metal intake b/c I just got a wetkit and I dont want to blow my LS6 into a billion pieces.....how do you guys think this would do performance wise compared to the LS6?

Those are made for high RPM motors. You will lose your TQ and bottom end because of the very short runner.

$$$???
PS Put it on a big enough motor, and you wont loose but so much torque.
Kinda like puttin an open plenum on a 454 as opposed to a 383.

Wonder what the reserve price is... I bet its not no $500. Typical intakes like that start at ~$2500.

I would give it a try for 500 bucks. It looks like it would go very well with the new motor.

It only has a 75MM flange on it. Seems like that would defeat the purpose of an intake like that.

Can't you just have the flange cut off and larger one re-welded in its place?
Looks interesting if you were to build a stout engine with moderate/high boost.

the seller of thst product has no feedback, it may not be the first sale,
but i would be wary of it. 75mm does sound odd on that type of intske,
i would expect a 90mm minimum.

Well I asked him what it has shown on the dyno and this was his reply:
"Yes it has been dyno tested. Results varied from motor to motor. Flow test showed it out performed the stock ls1 by 20 cfm and was about the same as the LS6."

Also he said the buy it now price is $2350.00 and the reserve is $1800 but I guess that is inline with what other sheet metal intakes go for....

So their claim of 10hp was compared to a LS1 intake? Riiight.....that's impressive. $1,800 for that

If you guys are wanting to buy a sheetmetal intake i have one for sale. Its one of the old BBRC Sheetmetal intakes. Its set up for a stock TB is the only downside. On my H/C 346 i lost a little bottom end but picked up like crazy up top, and it was amazing on the bottle. PM me if you are interested, i will let it go for cheap because im trying to get money to finish my new setup.
