Default HELP - Front Sway Bar End Link Won't Come Out

I'm preping my car for the track tomorrow and I want to take out one end link on the front sway bar. I've got the nut off the top but the bolt won't fall through the hole. Its like the bolt is clipped into the washer and the whole assembly is at such an angle that it can't get past the opening in the axle. Do I need to have the car in some wierd position or something to get it lined up? I thought this was supposed to be easy. What am I doing wrong?

Take the load off that corner and off the sway bar by putting the jack under the control arm and compressing the suspension. that will change the angle and allow the bolt to come out. At least thats what it sounds like is happening.

I'll give it a shot. I probably won't get it done before the track tonight though, I've got to many other things to do after work.
Are the sway bar setups different certain on 98-02 camaro's? Otherwise I would think everyone would have this problem.

Did you try tapping it out with a hammer? I ended up breaking mine while trying to get them out for spring/shock replacement.

yeah I tried to tap it out with a hammer but the bolt is set into that washer pretty good. The nut on the other end is the same way. I don't think they are just rusted together. If I do get the bolt away from the washer will I be able to reasemble it?
