both would be on a 15 * 9.75 bogart wheel and both 288 11.5's

ordering today, waited till the last minute to have second thoughts on the et streets

also.. how common is that 10.5 tire rule? i dont want to be sol if im ever not broke at a big race ..

A 28x11.5" ET Street doesn't even have 10" of tread, so you don't have to worry about the 10.5" tire rule... Generally you're allowed a little more tire if it's a DOT rated tire, anyway.

I doubt you'd see a world of difference between an ET Street and a Hoosier QT Pro of the same size. It's pretty much a matter of personal preference...

Just one more thing... If you're putting these on a 9.75" wheel like you say, the 28x12.50 ET Street would be a better choice than a 28x11.5, but the 28x12.50 is a true 28" tall tire, whereas the 28x11.5 is only ~27.5" tall.

so would a 28*12.5 be a 10.5 legal tire or no?

I have been debating on the same thing and have decided to go with 28x11.5x15 Hoosier QTP's. They work well on a 10" rim and are a true 28" tire. The treadwidth is 10" on the Hoosiers, so no worries about the 10.5" tire rule.
I will be using tubes and rim screws, if you don't screw them, the tubes will slip, and you don't wanna pop off a valvestem during a run.
Hopefully these will hold me with 3.73's, 3800 stall, and a 125 shot off the line.
I'll post up results once I get a chance to test.

I'm probably going to have to upgrade my 27x11.5x15 Hoosier QTP's to some 28 QTP's...I will see how the 27's do at the track first w/the new setup..

You usually have to roll the fender lip, and probably need to grind the bump stop to get those to fit...

to get my 28x10.5x15 ET Drags w/ Bogarts to fit we had to pound the inner fender well, cut some of the inside fender along the rear and front of the inside tirewell...

make sure u spray some of that undercoat in the fenderwell where u hit it with hammer...

also u should have adj LCA so u can center the tires in the tirewell... it helps minimize the about of cutting and hammering you have to do to get 28s to fit
