who uses REAL ls6 heads?
Its interesting that many companies use 6.0 Lq9 heads and weld up the combustion chamber in order to match the 243 Ls6 heads. Is there any company that casts their own LS6 replicas that dont have to weld up the chambers? OR are there any companies that purchase real 243 heads instead of making their own?
I need to find a nice set of budget heads to go with a TR224/224 lsa 114 cam and Im kind of skeptical of the welded chambers, although its been proven time and time again.

I know that TSP (Texas Speed & Performance) uses OEM 243 castings for their prc LS6 stage 1 & stage 2.5 cnc heads.
I ordered their prc 5.3L stage 2.5 cnc heads along with a 224/228 comp cam.
If you're on a budget you probably want to have a look on these heads too. They are $1200 with double springs included

I have Patriot ported 243's. I am very happy with them. The car is just an animal to drive The #'s in the sign are with comp shaft mount rockers. I was getting valve float showing up on the dyno at 5500 rpm, and shutting me down at 6400. I have since put the stk rockers back in and I run her up to 6700 rpm no problem now. I am going back to the dyno Tuesday, #'s to be updated. For just over 1k you can't beat them.
