Default Soooo, do we really NEED the spring that returns the clutch pedal??

Just as the title says. I started hearing a clicking today when i pressed the clutch in.

After poking around a bit i discovered that one side of the spring that returns the clutch pedal had brkoen off and was rubbing on the assembly causing the "clicking". SO me being the certified mechaninc that i am just removed the little bastard.

Clutch seems to be fine without, but i'm curious as to whether this will cause problems?? Thanks for helping a newb out fellas.

its not a big deal, until your pedal gets stuck to the floor and you have to take it off of the floor with your toes.

Mine broke in the same fashion yours did. Mine's still on the car...but the clicking is driving me crazy. Dealership price for the spring was like 30 something bucks
